Who We Are

We are a local faith community following Jesus together. Our heart is for spiritual awakening to God’s redemptive story throughout the greater Eugene/Springfield area. We believe this is possible through the indwelling Holy Spirit, as we embody the good news in the places we live, work, and play.

Values

Simple and Relational

We believe in simple church with a high emphasis on relationships.  The church is not about buildings and programs but about the people of God learning to follow Jesus together, sharing their lives with one another, and embodying the good news in the places they live, work, and play.  We keep things simple as a church, focusing on regular rhythms of worship, fellowship, bible teaching, prayer, and serving, all done within the context of relationships.   We believe these spiritual practices done within community, consistently overtime, will best put us in a position as a church to experience God’s grace, be transformed by the gospel, and influence a city that is skeptical toward religion and church.

Diverse yet Unified
We strive to practice Jesus’ teachings through a diverse community unified in Jesus. Whether rich or poor, homeless or housed, young or old, new or seasoned in Christ, recovering addict or recovering legalist, democrat or republican, we are one body united in Christ. We believe a diverse community unified in Jesus provides the best atmosphere to practice loving one another the way Jesus loved us, and provides a more tangible picture of God’s Kingdom in the places we live, work, and play.

Loving and Serving our City

The Word became flesh and blood and moved into the neighborhood (John 1:14 MSG).

We believe the local church should be most invested in the places they live, work, and play.  Our aim is to love our neighbors in the way of Jesus.  We do this first and foremost as a lifestyle but also as a church by joining with other like-minded faith communities and ministries.  We feel the most called to leverage our time and resources as a church to serve the poor, marginalized, and recovery community within our city.

…all through the good news of Jesus

Jesus came announcing the good news, or gospel, of the Kingdom of God.  The gospel is the proclamation that God is redeeming humanity back to Himself through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.  The gospel is the only hope for a broken world because it alone has the power to transform our lives and our relationships with one another by first restoring our relationship with God.  Jesus has invited all of humanity to repent and believe the gospel.  We believe the gospel, are being transformed by the gospel, and are committed to embodying the gospel in the places we live, work, and play.
